Originally the Eiffel Tower was a reddish-brown color.  It has been painted yellow, yellow-brown and chestnut in decades past.  Currently the tower is painted in three shades of "Eiffel Tower Brown," receiving a 60-ton fresh coat of paint every seven years.  It is named after the tower's designer Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, opened in 1889 and was built to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution.

I love the pattern - what is the cost of just the kit? Already have fabric I want to put it on.

Oh, my! This is a wonderful kit. The instructions and illustrations are beautifully written and the materials are beyond gorgeous. This will be such fun to stitch!

I love the colors and the background fabric color looks just perfect as it could be a drizzly day in Paris and (on this photo shown) the sun trying to peek through! Can't wait! Gorgeous!
